An idea for a future GB?  Gunship conversion- make an aircraft into a gunship like the AC-47, AC-119, AC-130.  Sorry if a repeat

Some nominations:
CASA- small and large
C-160 Transall
Belfast
737
Argosy
Convair 131, or other twin turboprops
Russian?

Any others?

I've got a Bristol Superfreighter that might be getting some guns....

Spooky GB? I'd be in! In a heartbeat!

Shorts 330/C-23 Sherpa! Someone (whose name escapes me at the moment, I'm afraid) did some cool profiles for a British and a US version. Already bought an Aeroclub Sherpa to use for a conversion.
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Convair 131, or other twin turboprops

That one was actually tested, as Part of "Project Tailchaser".  A C-131 was converted into a test rig with cameras in place of guns.  Later the cameras were replaced with a single Minigun.  Still, it might be nice to see a full conversion.

A Twin Pioneer?

If you pointed the guns slightly aft you could take-off with a quick burst on the triggers!  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Avro Lancaster with a bombay of enlarged depth and streamlined.  Barrels protruding out of the lower right hand side because it's British.    Not really an Avro York but say 1/2 between the Lancaster and the York.

Already have a Gunvan conversion of the Skyvan planned in Omani markings.

Basler BT-67 (Turbo-DC3)

That's not a whiff - Basler offer gunship conversions as standard and IIRC, Columbia has a few. They're a bit coy about details on their website, but I think I've read that the preferred guns are GECAL .50 cals these days.
