Impressive is not an impressive enough word to tell you how impressed I am with your Rutan-esque Wellie, Eddie! I saw some discussion regarding the placement of the canards over on the post pics thread, but I keep remembering that modeling mantra: "If it looks right, it IS right", and this baby looks right to me!

Thank you Pyro and BdaB!
I am taking the advice of a dual nose gear wheel set up. I had a well installed, but I removed for the modification. It has now been modified and back in the aircraft. Here's how it looked after I ripped out was a hack saw.;)

I always enjoy seeing your kit surgery, Eddie and this update is no exception. I think modifying the nose gear is a great solution and knowing you, when this baby is complete, people will think the kit is supposed to be built that way!

Thanks Brian. ;D   My biggest shock is, I just saw that it's due in a very short time in the future. :o I guess I'd better stop with the modifications and finish up.

Well Eddie, so far we've only got three participants. Everyone seems to be at a similar stage in their projects, so I'm hopeful they'll all vote for an extension.

I was certainly planning to plead for an extension: having rotten luck time-wise at the moment..... :banghead:

I'm going to try and come close as I can. The extention, if there is one, sounds like it might come in handy.

Here it it is up on the gear.

and the bomb bay made from F-22 parts

It's coming along nicely.  The bomb bay looks good.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

The thought of parts from an F-22 used on a Wellington is totally MIND boggling! I love it, well done indeed!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

It's eerie how that F-22 bay fits the Wellie like a glove! Eddie, you've got a sixth sense when it comes to finding just the right part!

this looks a really cool build, def looking forward to seeing it completed, Vickers had a few canard bomber projects proposed, yours looks like a 'might have been' when compared to the proposed designs

Thank y'all very much. :D Your comments are greatly appreciated.

I used 1/48 Spitfire props with the tips cut down and a 500lbs bomb top for the spinners

I added a weapons pylon from a Super Hornet to give the tail a bigger profile and I refined the spinners a bit.
