I've been troubled about missing this build because I would be able to do something up to HOG's legacy, but then I had a thought. He liked my work when I did something my way, so that's how I'll do it. This project is possible because BdaB sent me a Airfix Wellington some time back. I never figured I could come up with a good idea to put it together until now. Photos later.......

I'm really glad to see you join in the fun Eddie, and doubly pleased that you found a use for the Wellie, although I have a feeling it may not look like the picture on the box when it's finished.

Here's the beginnings of the build. I don't want to let the cat out of the bag of what I envision just yet for fear of starting a riot. ;)

Hmmmm, so you've started by blanking off the wing slots.....

Nah, that's just to put us off. It's a Wellicopter!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Yes and sanding off all the raised detail. I tried cutting and moving the wing slot out in it's self, but that was a pain in the rear, so I filled the other with sheet styrene. Luckily for me, my plans included what were required in the rules or a would have been SOL. I will be adding parts from a Spitfire and F4U. ;D

Ooohhh!  An early lighter version of the Vickers Type C!  Liking the direction so far Eddie!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Brilliant Eddie! HOG would be smiling for sure!

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?
