Found this one on MSNBC's Photoblog, of the Evergreen 747 Supertanker bombing a fire outside Haifa, Israel this weekend:

All these vintage schemes looked so much better than the recent ones!

What is that?  A Yak of some kind?

I'd hazard a guess at a Yak-50.

GTX

Yep - Yak-50.  It has a look like a RAF weapon of desperation fighter though.

I'm actually surprised at how spindly the undercart looks.  I can only imagine the Amodel kit of the type would be a bear to have any strength in that department.

I have come up with a plan so cunning you could stick a tail on it and call it a weasel. ......Edmund Blackadder

Yeah, lovely shot of the Tonka.  If you put 'Machynlleth Loop' as the keyword in the photo search function you come up with tons of hits similar to that Tornado, with a few nice surprises like an old pic of a Bucc, F-15's, A-10's, French Alpha Jets, stuff in raspberry ripple (Andover is one of my faves), Saudi Tonkas, lone Red Arrows.  Probably plenty more treats if you have a dig through.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
