I saw this and thought of the TSR.2 someone posted last week.  Not as pretty a shot, but still...

From this date in 1961, fifty years ago, a pair of F4D-1s of VF-162 bank over Cecil Field, Florida

I just love that shape.

Nice shots, both.

The Valkyrie is one of those machines that just looks all wrong on the ground. It's a shape meant to be screaming through the sky, not perched awkwardly on it's legs like that.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

What version of the MiG-29 is this? The canards look neat on it!

Mossie

It's a Malaysian Su-30MKM, but I'm sure you could work your magic with those canards & a MiG-29!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

GTX

Yes, the Su-30MKM is a tad larger than the MiG-29N that the RMAF also flies:

Thanks for the compliment! I think I could indeed...  ;D ;)

I'm so lousy for mistaking a Flanker and a Fulcrum... Was fooled by the camo and also the fact that I could only see part of the pic on my screen...  :-\ :banghead:

A beautiful shot of the Douglas C-124 Globemaster II being loaded with a huge engine (I'd say Pratt & Whitney R-4360 Wasp Major but I'm no specialist, can anyone confirm or correct this?).

Hungry!  There's a visual metaphor there, a Bulldog chewing a wasp... ;D

By the look of the nasal it would be from either a B-50 or a C-97 or any of their derivatives.

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....
