Found a story via Facebook about keeping the aircraft based at Kandahar clean.

Attached is the following image of a VMA-513 Harrier all lit up:

It's a big one, at 2.5 MB.

Another airliners.net shot, this time of the former Khodynka Aerodrome, outside of Moscow:

A search for other photos from this location says that this was once a test location for Mikoyan and Sukhoi fighters, and hosted the first flights of many different aircraft.  There was a museum there once, now closed.  You can see a number of aircraft parked in a line near the top right of the photo.  About halfway down the line is a big blue jet.  Could this be one of the Sukhoi T-10 Flankers?

Here's a fabulous selection of photos of Italy's air forces during World War II:

Text is all in Spanish, but that shouldn't pose too much of a problem for anyone here.

You can't see it, but there's Ryanair title behind the stub wing....
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

That's a superb find! Some really lovely shots there. I particularly like the two shots of the SM-79, the one where it's buzzing a group of people at very low level, and they're all diving for cover, and the next one where one has just released a torpedo against a battleship - either an R-class or one of the un-modernised Queen Elizabeth-class.

More official Air Force goodness, this time air refueling over Afghanistan.  I've always said that boom operators get the neatest photos.

Yeah, but political correctness will never get us the most excellent nose art one F-105 had during Vietnam.

You mean this one?

Yep.  No boom operator worth his salt would miss that.  And honestly, it probably worked a lot better than any other visual cues.
