It definately looks like arms and legs splayed apart ! Could probably be easily photoshopped into somat sci-fi or futuristic.

That's what I thought, but if so where's the railway bridge? It's only a few yards away.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I can see where the track goes on the other side of the Mersey, but I can't see the bridge on my laptop.

It is there, just. More of a shadow in the shadows. I tried fiddling with the image, but I couldn't bring much out of the shadows because of the quality of the jpeg:
