MiG 3...................RAF style

another from an Alternative Time Line thread i started somewhere else

Late 1942, desperatly short of fighter aircraft, the Commonwealth Forces enter a trade agreement with the USSR............first to arrive was nearly 120 new and used MiG 3

used in North Africa they give valuable service against the German and Italian Air Forces in Eygpt and Chad but never become popular with their RAF and Rhodesian Squadrons and are quickly replaced when better types become available








kit was a cheapo Zvedsa one...........first time ive had a go at the blu tac method of camo painting..........planes are still kinda new to me but im getting there i think

Very nice!  I've sometimes wondered what Soviet types would look like in RAF & USAAF service if lend-lease worked in both directions, I guess I know now!
