another forum im a member of has had a Group Build with a difference for December..........the only rule was to use a failed kit from the previous 11 months and turn it into something suitable for the Wacky Races cartoons..........fun was more important than quality........so since it was all about kit bashing it sort of fits in here..

i just finished two

Jaguar XJR-9K.....................K stands for Katyusha

driven by General Angus McCoatup, Commanding Officer of the 12th regiment of Foot and Mouth.............with Corporal Rick O'Shea as co-driver





kit was a horrible Heller 1/43 kit of the XJR-9..........got it in a set of 3 le mans cars.........the peugeot was junk.........the merc got built to test the first air brush i got....this sat in its box........crap quality and detail.......seemed ideal for this

then this....
the Supa-Dupa-Subaru
driven by the top race driver Justin Credible
powered by a 2 litre engine with a quasi-nuclear phase-interlocked dipthong retarder with built in overhead overhang and an turbo turbine engine on the back for added thrust





kit started out as an 1/24 Airfix Subaru Imprezza...........first idea was to chop the roof and fill in the seams to turn it into a two door at which point it actually looked quite nice.........then i got carried away with the filler
