Thank you very much to all. Yes; now, i think it has a great resemblance to the british De Havilland Sea Venom. Indeed, the Saab J-21R is also in my projects; i hope.

I´ve already decided the final camo and decals. I hope you´ll like them.

It is quite funny actually... I've had the following XP-89A whif sleeping in a folder for months because I wasn't satisfied for it... And I realize it holds quite a few similarities to your P-88! I'm sure I could even modify it to look more like yours.

That's good looking - nice one!

It strikes me as an "American Vampire". If you look at a lot of early jets, the Americans had a definite preference for guns and ammo in the nose with the cockpit behind them, while the Brits preferred the cockpit right forwards with the ammo and gun breaches behind it and the barrels under the floor. If you re-arranged a Vampire to match the American thinking, it would look very, very like this project. The swept wings would be perfectly explained by America's post-war lead in this field.

Hi, thanks to all.

I wanted to make a jet version of the P-38, and one day i saw the profile of SSgt Baloo in the forum "profiles and CGI" (draw down). At first i called it "P-48", but i discovered already existed an aircraft named so.

Very interesting the aircraft XP-89, Stargazer2006. I didn´t know it existed. Yes, "my project" is very similar.
Here i send a photo with another project very similar; the XP-59. Although, this was only a model for tests in wind tunnel.

Hi Fran! No, the "XP-89A" never existed! It is a fake montage I did using the actual XP-89 Scorpion fighter as a basis. I just thought it was kind of funny that our projects ran along similar lines...

As for the XP-59, it was a real project (Bell's Model 20) but it was never built (and neither was the similar Model 19 for the Navy). I have prepared the attachment below for you so you can see the evolution of that project.
