Here is a few work in progress pics of my current project, the pics are not too good as I had to do them indoors as it is dark and chucking it down.
The paint on it is just a tell tale coat to see where the putty need more work but it looks good in this colour don't you think?
The canards are yet to be put on, pylons and weaponry and the landing gear. The aircraft is going to be a prototype Sukhoi strike aircraft, with very high low and high level performance. The plane will be armed with one large turbojet powered anti ship missile, and some self defence aam's or it could carry the moskit missile I made a while back.

Cheers,
Chris.

Looks like a scaled-up two-seater Firefox.  And those burner cans look awfully familiar.  Nicely done!

Thanks for the remarks fellas
The kits involved are, 1/144th concorde, 1/72nd SU-15 fuselage tails from I don't know what  The cans are from the Mig 1.44 and the canopy/cockpit, is from something I got in a bag of bits from Dork, the canards that are to be used came in that same bag.
It does have a Firefox look to it,and that is making me think about keeping it in the colour it is now.
Cheers,
Chris.

Very nice so far!  At least with nicking those burner cans, you can still build your 1.44!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

right this thing is nearly done now, and as it is a prototype aircraft, I have resisted the temptation to cover it in pylons and weapons, especially as the missile I want to use on it is too big in the tail wigs department to hang it from a centre line pylon like I wanted to. I could start digging a hole out for it to live in but, I am not going there. Plus it looks good slick, and in matt black
I have just give it a coat of clear gloss varnish so I can decal it ( yes you read that right). Also I painted the rear end of the fuselage and exhaust nozzles in a titanium colour.I will try and get some pics done tomorrow.

Well......
photographs not get done did they today.  :banghead: I had to flat down the upper surfaces, as well as the decals I put on, as the clear coat went all artex on me, and favoured a stretch of badly laid tarmac.
So a repaint was also  done and the clear coat will have to wait until tomorrow night now.
I think in the not so distant future SHADO will be buying this aircraft, and they will no doubt give it a new and better paint job

The result of this mix is fantastic. A very elegant aircraft.

Right then  Here is just one picture of my Sukhoi as the other ones I took show that the canards are not right  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:.
So it is going to have yet more surgery done to it now

Looks good so far... Funny how the cockpit reminds me of the Douglas Skystreak!

Canard(S)??

Looks to me that there is only one, on the port side!   SURELY if there was on on the other side it would have protruded into the picture, yes?

(I touched up the decal silvering on the port wing)

This is one cool-looking bird! With its Concorde roots, you could make it a general's "hack" to take his staff out on junkets!

I have noticed you have a penchant for photographing your models on rubbish bin lids. I feared maybe you were ready to throw it away, but thought, "I'll take a photo of it and show it to the whiffers--if they like it I'll keep it". Please keep it!

My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!
