I love these multicoloured CAD shots from Trumpy, someones got to paint their kit like that!!!  :drink:
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Trumpeter's armor kit artwork has certainly gotten better. Almost to the level of DML.

The M1117 is a good addition. Not many V150s running around in Iraq/Afghanistan these days, and it would be difficult to mod a HobbyBoss version. Hopefully it won't be another $90 armor kit.

I think the 1/35 PMC contractors are a great idea!  Way to go, Trumpeter!

modellversium.de just posted an in box review of Trumpeter kit # 01004, 1/35th scale M1078 2.5 Ton Light Medium Tactical Vehicle LMTV

Nice kit but horribly expensive thanks to the distributors whom we all know and loathe.

I can see getting a few of the 2 seaters.  Hope the wait for the kit hitting the shelves won't be too long.

What are the chances of Whiffing that into the original IAF Lavi? Better than starting with an F-16 right?

To be honest !? To build a "real" or realistic Lavi it is nearly impossible. Maybe then You better start with a Mirage because of its slimmer / narrower fuselage + engine. The Lavi was once planned to be powered by the PW1120, an engine also foreseen for the re-engined Super-Phantom II.

The current AL-31FN and also the maybe later used WS-10A is a completely different beast both in performance and diameter too.

See Below a comparison of a J-10 and a Lavi in 1/72 :o

A friend of mine is currently "scratching" a 1/32 Lavi:

But as a "What-if" maybe a Lavi C-2,7,xyz redesigned and enlarged with a F110 or F-100 .... + the latest add-ons as the Sufa !

This might be a better basis to work from, although probably requires quite a bit more work to get an accurate model from what i hear
