Attempt on the Port-a-loo world speed record..... Oooohh, someone has to model that..... Terry, you reading this ??

I think the guys who supported Richard Noble's LSR record did that already, and the guy in the toilet was facing BACKWARDS at the time!  ;D

It's mentioned in Noble's book on the record project.

Not sure if this is a new kit, but I don't think I've seen this particular aerosan before:

That one has been around for some time - had one in my hands some time ago, considering it for a 1:35 Ma.K. winter diorama.

He also told the story at a lecture he gave at one of our annual industry Christmas "seminars" (read beer up). Very interesting, amusing man
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it is. Somewhere in this madhouse that Mrs_PR19 and I call home there's a copy of it, but exactly where I have NO idea!  ;D

I have a big signed print of Thrust 2 at some humunguous speed that alternates above the fireplace in our lounge with a print of XH558 at low level over an oil rig. Both low, noisy and fast!  ;D

Yes it is, I've got the same book.  It's a very good account of the Thrust 2 and Thrust SSC programs with a few extras thrown in.  It starts in a biographical style, covering the parts of Richard Noble's life that are relevant to the quest for the LSR, then focuses deeply more on the LSR programs.  There are contributions from others, including Andy Green and Craig Breedove.  It covers the technical aspects well for a laymen.

In the years after Andy Green obtained the supersonic record, Thrust SSC was bussed around the country on the back of truck to various events.  My Dad once passed the truck on the Motorway and would tell anyone who would listen that he overtook a supersonic car! ;D
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Cobra & Huey are listed, but i doubt we'll see a Skyhawk till they do a 60's USN carrier

Sauragnmon

But lo, there is an available Skyhawk, from Pit Road!  Look up their US Carrier Aircraft set, there's Scooters in there.  Yes, not in the massive quantity you would get from a Trumpeter Single Bird Box, but there's the option.

The Wooksta!

Wouldn't bother with the latter.  The Revell one is currently available, will be cheaper and more likely more accurate too.
