Well, to begin with, I had only just woken up, so I forgot at the time there was another Hornet in existence, the WW2 model.

With no actual full blown references to work from, could you actually expect them to be On Mark?  There are no full aircraft, no full schematics, no remotely complete references to work from.

As to the RCAF Operating them... well, if the governments of the 90s had anything to say about it, I could imagine we might have STILL been operating them... or at least, our Mosquitoes.

Speaking of Trumpeter i see they have got their own back on Japan for one of the Japanese model companys putting the disputed islands and a siniking chinese carrier on as background for a JMSDF kit. Last year they issued a 1/200 scale USS Missouri

and have done a rather interesting detailing set  ;D

Yeap the formal Japanese Surrender party on-board the Missouri in 1945, nice come back

Alright, not sure to post it here or elsewhere... but has anybody here picked up the J-11B kit?  I'm curious how many of the missile sprues it comes with.

I hadn't seen that ! Would be an excellent diorama for any USN related museum. Even with a scratchbuilt deck section.
