Their forthcoming 48th scale DH Hornet is a pile of crap, with no less than John Adams condemning it.

Considering what a mess Trumpeter can make of models of aircraft that actually still exist, the mind BOGGLES at what they can do with one that doesn't!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Trumpeter's sheissekunst (apologies if spelt wrong), perfect for whiffing though. Couldn't care less anymore about accuracy. My kid's are giving me Xuntong's TU-2 for XMAS; peeked in the box and started salivating .

A big Foxhound would look cool on the shelf. SR-71 killer markings

Another neat little tool from Trumpeter, this time a jig for making small wire handles quickly:

Hannants havn't got a pic up yet, but I found plenty on the web:

Trumpeter seem to specialise in these sort of "that's so simple I could make one myself but it'd be a bit of a fiddle and at that price I might as well buy one" tools.
I recently got one of these which is again a very simple idea.

And yes, I admit it, I was sucked in by it having a Wyvern on the box.  If it had been something like a Spitfire I might not have bought one (and if it had been a Rotodyne I would have bought ten...).

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Oh Lord, I just love the Wyvern. Now there's a beast that could be Zwillinged. Point down the tail sections with a tailplane between the two...... An F-82 pod up front .

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!

And I've got all the stuff to do that too.

The one I find most useful is this decal tray:

Could I live without it? Of course I could. Is it perfect? No: really tiny decals tend to get swept down the drain holes into the bottom tray if you're not careful. However it's damned handy and for the few quid it cost I'm glad I took the chance on it.

A single Wyvern weighs almost as much as a DC3.  A Zwilling...

Hmmm, a zwilling Wyvern would give you a couple of interesting options: a double flame-out on catapult launch resulting in a pancake ditching, or a single flame-out resulting in a cartwheel ditching, which looks less survivable, but which has the important benefit of getting you out of the path of the carrier before it runs you over.... ;)

Luckily Wyverns, even the Twin Wyvern, are one of the few prop planes to have an exit strategy courtesy of Martin Baker.  ;D

Yes, I can see a definite use for that one.  I think I'll get one (as they seem to come in a pack of six, six of them).
