I first posted in "secret projects" but one  told me
Wha-if was more in the subject, so here I am...

this model was made for a comic; (as a drawing help)
The Virulan mission is to escort bombers of the "Bison" class.
I'll add more details later.

the model base is revell's arado.

I certainly hope so. Looks great indeed. The Luchs-based (?) maintenance vehicle also looks rather interesting.
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

The Luchs-based (yes!) maintenance vehicle badly I have only about one picture...

The base kit is the revell arado 555;

The wing is the same as revell kit but there are some modifications:
-engines are now in the fuselage, with leading edge air intakes;
(model engines are two 1/48 jumo 004)

-trolley is mainly home made, with spare sprue.
landing gear have been withdraw
Virulan landes on with skids, with empty tanks only...skids wont stand a heavy loaded plane.
on the shot below the four big JATOs land on help can be seen

Everything has been done to increase the range.

the model was to avoid to do too many perseptive drawing work,
so it does not look like a nice display model,
only a grey primer paint layer.

On the pict the ladder is 1/48...
Wrong for a display model but enougth for a drawing help....

bobbo

Wow!!  Simply WOW!

Could it possibly become a Sharkit kit?  Please??

bobbo

renax

A sharkit ?

its too big to be casted in resin;

maybe something like a conversion,
as the revell kit is,
as long as I know, not difficult to find.

but make molds and all the things
(masterig parts is very different from doing a scratch, and an instruction sheet must be done...)
need at least a little serie of about 20 copies.

so the hope is thin...

below: the turret, 2 guns top and 2 down.

(its free  but a bit heavy)

you can also look the teaser here on youtube:

I'll remain on the Virulan on this topic,
but maybe Ill open another one about the comic (not to mix everything)
(the comic is an Uchronian/Alternative History subject)

pictures with turret views:
the gunner is in the turret, but this is not done on the model.
Guns would be 30mm "long"...

both up and low "half turret"

intrados:
(note the retracted landing skids)

Just call me Ray

Stupid question, but...you are going to finish it, right?

Also if it's not too late or too much of a bother some fixed guns in the nose would be cool  :thumbsup:
It's a crappy self-made pic of a Lockheed Unmanned Combat Armed Rotorcraft (UCAR), BTW
