Suprisingly no - I've done a DAF P-39, but hadn't thought of a DAF P-38 - maybe for strike operations over Corsica and Sardinia ? I can see where that would fit in to my Alt WWII scenario prior to the desert Hornet
Mmmmm.  I think th eSEAC P-38 as  precursor to th eHornet is entirly plausible, well done mon brave!  ;D ;D

Nice one Chris, that SEAC scheme suits the P-38 a treat.

It's surprising quite how often one tends to forget the umpteen different types that sported the SEAC scheme, not to mention the ones that didn't.........  -_-
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Well it would Trev but my SEAC forces use PR Spits and Mosquito's. Most of the Mossies were withdrawn until the airframe problems caused by the climate were sorted, but the PR birds stayed.

The Mossies were replaced in the light bomber role by B-26's. One of which will hit these pages soon  ;D

That's art following real world. There's an article in one of the Aircraft magazines about the P-38 in RAF colours. I'll try and dig it out with more info.

NARSES2

They did "have" one or two early ones for trials. No supercharger though if memory serves
