Dan, you just need a space between the colon & the www for it to embed itself.  If not, select the text then hit the 'Insert Hyperlink' (globe with a page on it) button on the control panel.

Thunderbirds, maybe.  There are a few incidents involving military aircraft, but I'd say a QRA is more applicable to Stingray, Captain Scarlet & UFO.  In Stingray Marineville is under constant alert, in fact you can see this in the intro.  Stingray is launched, the buildings dissapear underground, missiles are readied & a pair of bombers or heavy fighters (clearly based on B-58 models) climb over Marineville.  Even the dumbeat sounds a battle stations call!

Captain Scarlet has the Angels on readiness & there are regular interceptions launched in UFO.
