I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

well i got

1/72 special hobby Jak17
1/72 Special hobby Bell XP-77

no idea what I'm going to do with them but they were too cheap to resist.

Everything looks better with the addition of British Roundels!

Graft the nose of the Yak-17 onto the XP-77 and viceversa!

Courtesy of board Member Av8fan, who was thinning the stash, an Academy 1/72 Hawker Tempest V, an Eduard Weekend Edition Yak 3, and a Hobby Craft 1/32 Sea Fury! Plus a compressor for the air brush he let me have back in the summer. The man refused to dip into my stash for trades, so he now overtakes Captain Canada in the guilt department! Thanks Michael, it was lovely to finally meet and spend a couple of hours with you and Natasha, we'll have to do it again soon.

My parents came to visit today, bringing with them some late christmas presents. A couple of CDs, socks and books... and an Iwata Revolution BR airbrush, with a Sprint Jet compressor to power it. Plus all the accessory bits and pieces - cleaner, lubricant, and a set of Lifecolour paints. I am one extremely happy bunny!

Had a quick early morning raid on MZ, guessing correctly that I could get the car into Manchester without too much grief if I got out early enough on a Sunday.

Score = 4 x Victors and 2 x more Hunter Mk.9s.

Looked longingly at lots of other things, but space is an issue these days.

Other things to think about:

There's a 1/72nd German Rescue boat that would make a good armed patrol ship,

There's a stack of cheap 1/72nd Panthers, which are a good starting point for anything modern/sci-fi, due to their modern shape,

There's a stack of cheap Long Tom SPGs, which is an interesting chassis for all sorts of other things (SPATG, APC, MRL?)

a revell victor, via some freinds who went into MZ in merry hill. though now what to do? as an offocal one would be nice, and irealy dont have room for many 1:72 bombers.

Just to prove my 'handle' here isn't a mere affectation...... here's some recent arrivals at Schloss Jackson. Mr Revell will be very pleased with me !!

Strangely enough, that's exactly the selection of Hunters that I've just bought (minus the funny-looking straight wing one on top). Mind you, there the similarity ends, because those are the only Hunters I own....
