and the hidden gem...

Box of assorted 1/72 bagged kits, bought for under $5...said box contained:

Airfix 1/72 S-3 Viking
Hase 1/72 Curtiss Seagull
Frog 1/72 He162 (in an ANCIENT Plasty-Airfix Seahawk box)
Beechnut 1/72 A-8 Shrike
Airfix 1/72 MiG 21
Airfix 1/72 DH Heron II
Airfix 1/72 Bristol Superfreighter
Airfix 1/72 Jetstream (    )

and...three Airifx kits that I cannot identifiy without digging them out...two WWII twin engine thingies...and I think a Macchi fighter...

Not bad for a listing described as FIVE bagged kits!!

You lucky bleeder! All that for under $5 (what's that about £3.50?). I wish I'd have come across that. Nice one! :drink:

Trumpeter 1/72 Type 59 MBT - actually ordered two of 'em from Amazon, but only one showed up so far.  <...>

So, the second one arrived today. Strangely enough, given that Amazon said they left their premises at about the same time.
Also found out that Bison's "Balkan Armour" decals only have options for T-55s and since Trumpeter's decal guides are once again useless when it comes to saying what you're actually building, it looks like I have two Type 59s (which are T-54A copies) to play with in whifferland.
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

From what I've seen (which is way, way too much, just on here) Radish doesn't have nearly enough restraint....

From HobbyTerra an Art-Model Yak-141 Frrestyle, quick delivery as was expecting a few weeks rather than a week.

Nice kit too, very Eastern European but still a very nice quality production, certainly one worth picking up.

(So F-35B, Hawker P1154 and now Yak-141 - theres a bit trend there  ;D)

Some eBay arrivals today...good and bad...

The good:

AMT Star Wars Snowspeeder
Airfix 1/48 Buccaneer-RN boxing
Revellogram 1/48 EA-6A
Airfix 1/144 VC-10 K.2
MPC 1/72 Spitfire Vc

The bad:

MPC/Airfix 1/72 SR.53...described as Mint condition...it was actually an empty box other than an empty sprue and two wheels....  Message sent to seller...hoping for easy resolution...
:-\
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

pyro-manic

Picked up a couple of things today:

Airfix DH.88 Comet - with those lovely long, slender wings I'm thinking high-altitude, either a nightfighter or a photo-recce bird.
Italeri F-104A Starfighter. I need the undercarriage for one of my Lightning ideas, not sure what to do with the rest. I hate the F-104 so it'll probably get bashed into something entirely different.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

All hail the God of Frustration!!!

The Wooksta!

Latest ebay win:

AZ Spitfire PR.1G & Spitfire F.XIV plus Airfix Spitfire PR19.  All in the same package.

Top banana!  The 19 is going to be heavily converted with a lot of resin bits, ending up as an FR22.  And I'll let you work it out...
