Got back from Huddersfield, left at 4pm and arrived home at 6pm so no drama on the road.  ;D
Went to Huddersfield on the Saturday and while waiting for Chris's train to arrived I called in at Something Wicked on Wood street and what a cracking modelshop it is, picked up a 1/48 Italeri TR-1A/B and a 1/35 Italeri M-978 HEMTT fuel tanker, then collected Chris from the station and went back to Something Wicked and got a 1/36 Marui Fuji FA-200 and a Collectors grade 1/48 Hasegawa 25th Anniversary British F-4 Phantom which I got for £26.  ;D

At the show on Sunday/today I got the following,

1/35 Dragon British Commonwealth Infantry, Italy 1943-44.
1/35 Tamiya US Modern Elite Infantry with accessory set, I got 2 of these as its the accessory bits I was after.
1/35 Tamiya 25Pdr. Field gun & Quad gun tractor, which is for a friend.

1/32 Aires F-104G exhaust nozzle.
1/32 MDC Ju-88 bomb racks.

1/48 JP RAF Modern pilot
1/48 Cutting Edge C-130 Pinocchio nose for the DC-130.

1/9 Spearhead Miniatures British WW2 Tommy figure which had 30% off the price.

and da big box item, a 1/35 Trumpeter Mil Mi-8MT/ Mi17 Hip for 30 quid.

Had a good time and it was nice to see everyone.  ;D

Well my stash just grew again thanks to Bungle's generosity. In return for some WWI stuff I sent him, I now have:

Two Bloodhound SAMs and more than two sets of launchers/trailers

A complete RAF Refueling Set

The upper stage of an SA-2 SAM

Two Russian AS-4 Kitchen ASMs. I presume these are 1/72nd: if so, man are they big! You could put seats in them...

Three part-complete Airfix/JB Landrovers. They're all missing their wheels, but due to my Trackrovers project I'm going to have plenty to spare....

A resin (I think?) Panhard ERC-90 Sagaie armoured car.

Thanks again Andy!

No kidding! :o

Pics by MoFo on ARC. He's making masters for 1/72 Kh-22s for Two Mikes resin (CLICKY!).
Everything in 1/72. The comparison of weapons shows (left to right): AS-4 Kitchen, AS-5 Kingfish, AGM-86 Harpoon, AGM-119 Penguin, AIM-9 Sidewinder

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

not sure what to do with the P1099B

Declare it 1/144 scale, take all the warry gunny thingies off, drill windows down each side, paint up the cockpit line an airliner, apply 1950s Lufthansa markings to it and, hey presto, you have an Me737.  And oddly enough, when you scale up the dimensions it ain't far off a Boeing 737.  ;D ;D

hmm, now that is interesting! i was thinking of a NMF finish, but its not a 'high-priority build' at the mo'.

bought another trumpeter F-100C yesterday.

Can you imagine being on a 3,000 ton frigate when one of those things hits?  :o You'd be buried at sea in both hemispheres....

Would look good next to a Heritage Supermarine Type 224 in Republican colours....
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Well, they're designed to kill supercarriers, so they're going to be overkill for anything less! Russian anti-ship missiles are all pretty scary, to be honest.

Picked up a pair of Academy kits from Plastic Pastimes in Poole today: Fw190D-9, and Bf109G-14, both 1:72. They will be bashed together to create a "Fw190E" (Db605-powered instead of the Jumo 213). These kits were almost as cheap as the equivalent Hobbyboss Easykits, and I think they'll be easier to bash. Plus I'll get more spares this way. :) Annoyingly though, it seems Academy don't put swastikas on their decals either. :banghead:
