I am told the Tamia 1/100th scale aircraft are being rereleased at about £2.50 each, which is a quarter the price they were knocking them out for a few years ago.
Needless to say I have stuck in an order for a few squadrons worth - I foresee more Beagle Wif's!!!!!!! ;-)

Bloody hell! That's about a third of what people are STILL charging for them as NOS. I've got the Ben Hobby Beagle (which I think is the same tool?): it's nice.

Gondor

Just delivered this morning from KingKit, a Hasegawa F9F-8 Cougar for my Falcon F9F-8T conversion to become a Raspberry Ripple similar to a profile I saw a while ago.
Only down side is that the conversion is vac form, not to confident about that after trying one years ago and it going horribly wrong  :banghead:

Treated myself to the new Revell 1/144 Eurofighter Typhoon (04282). Looks nice and crisp in the mouldings, a full weapon set and just £5.
Comes with a choice of markings for an F.2 from 11 Squadron RAF or Jagdgeschwader 74 'Molders'.

Revell appear to have been a bit sneaky with this kit. It's described as a single seater on the box but the cockpit has space for a second seat and there's a part to cover over this.

Compared with their previous 1/144 Eurofighter JF90 (04074) this is a vast improvement in terms of surface detail but at a cost. The new one has been broken down with many more parts to put together. The weapons set should make up for this.

I wonder if this is a scaled down version of their recent 1/72 release (aka the modern RAF weapons set!)

chrisonord

Today arrived a 1/72nd scale X-15 by Revell and the book cold war combat prototypes, from the very good man Philp
The book has some very interesting stuff in it, stuff mostly of which I never knew existed. The X-15 is going to be a ZELL launched interceptor, and will be either launched from the bomarc launcher I got a while back, or from a seaborne craft that has been bouncing round the saw dust for a while.
Cheers,
Chris.

You succumbed then  ;D

So did I, but I have to confess to the tiniest bit of disapointment. The load-out as impressive as it is, is all air to air.

try the RoG 1/144 RAF  :tornado: for some suitable air to ground weapons. the one with the 27 sqn markings.

it has 1000lbs bombs, LGB's and alarm's [with suitable adaptor pylons for the latter]

The only problem there is what do I hang on the Tornado after I have robbed it of it's loadout? :banghead:
