Today is better than Xmas, as no one in my family could get me this much stuff I actually wanted
From Tim (Darkmaster) arrived the decals I need for my Cartel aircraft, these were wrapped in a box containing 2 1/72nd scale 2 seater Typhoons, and the majority of an Airbus A380 in 1/144th scale. Cheers Tim
Secondly my Ta-183 arrived from Narses, very nice little kit which will be part of a little side story in my drug cartel Honduras scheme of things. I have some other Luft46 stuff in the stash, that will be involved with Nazi's going over to south America after the second world war
And thirdly, my Amodel Beriev Be-200 and ICM Russian air to ground ordnance has arrived from the Ukraine. I was really looking forward to getting the Beriev, and, compared to other Amodel stuff I have it is pretty good, but not brilliant. The fuselage has been badly pre glued together, and is full of nicks and badly done panel lines, so that will have to get puttied to death before work commences. So my opinion of Amodel has not changed that much really, shame.

Matchbox Dauphin II arrived off ebay this morning, mint in box. That makes three built and two in the stash I think.

Chris.

Dont forget the Amonster fuselages tend to be glass fibre. made in a mould, thats why its glued together like that and panel detail appears crude as the mould just doesnt have the same clarity as an injection moulding tool.

I went to Hobby Town on Wednesday.  Their model selection is substantial, with a little something for all tastes, but the prices are steep.  I ended up taking home a handful of those Furuta F-Toys 1/144 trading kits.  I got a Mitsubishi F-1, an OH-58D Kiowa and a B-1B (not 1/144).  The Bone and the F-1 are little knock-together affairs consisting of fuselage parts, wings and tails.  The Kiowa is a little masterpiece of about fifteen pieces.  There's even a mast-mounted sight, but that won't stay attached without glue.  I'll try to post some photos this morning after work.

Far as I can remember Air Atlantic was a Spanish operator with some Metroliners in the mid 90's.

Maybe Radish was thinking of Air Atlantique.
