A friend and I went through to Whitley Bay today to see Frank at Kit Box, ended up getting a Classic Airframes Defiant Mk.1 and a Hobbycraft Dornier Do17Z both in 1/48 scale plus a 1/35 Zvezda L4500R Maultier.  
Must visit there more this year  

Ps, Frank's got a 1/72 Airfix TSR2 in for £25 if anyone wants one

First kit for 2010 - Airfix Typhoon 1b from my local newsagents of all places. Now all I need to do is to get to the local MZ and I can stock up on Hunters and some other stuff.

Really nice isn't it Geof. Painting the interior may be a bugger though, although you can't see much of it once finished I suppose ?

we are sold out of Victors and hunters very few mirage F1's no Phantoms a few He 177 but we have lots of lightnings in fact we have only sold a couple.

That'd be because the Lightning isn't as discounted as the other "£9.99 kits for £4.99" items. Funny isn't it? It's still discounted, but because it isn't as discounted as the others, you tend to reject it as poorer value for money....

Well i liked the look and feel of the first kit i thought i really should get another so i can do a 60's and a 70's version.

(Plus it helps Ali put and may encourage futher kits in this line  )

I got me one of they Revell Hunter F.Mk.6 from ModelZone. Has anyone else spotted how the MZ logo is the same as that TV show, Bargain Hunt?!

Was looking for the new Airfix Harrier kits but no sign of them in Holborn MZ.

When I went to MZ the other day they had a load of M60's with the ERA on them, stooooooopid me didn't get any of them and now I have a job for one or two, involving M-1 Abrams and a Merkava turret. Now I can't go anywhere.
