Lots more Hunters in MZ Derby...resisted....I have more than enough as I'm not really a fan of Hunters. But the kit is lovely!! Ignored ideas of buying the Harrier (again, don't like them at all) from Haswgawa in 1/48th, and loads of other stuff.
I WAS tempted by the 1/72nd U-Boat at under £20, but where would it go? Can't justify that.....so bought yet another Bismarck/Tirpitz. So, got the 3 I need now:

Ice Planet "Aegir", on skis.
Atmospheric Battleship
Intergalctic Battleship.

Sorted

Is the F-89 a new mold?

Is the F-89 a new mold?

No, it's close to twenty years old (1991), but apparently it's a real gem. Much like their F-101B from the same timeframe. Sat next to a contemporary kit you wouldn't notice the age difference.
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Bugger.  Opend the box, the Hobby Boss Hurri has one of it's horizontal tails missing, & I was itching to get it together.  Back to the shop it goes.

From ebay: Zona razor saw and mitre block. I shall now hopefully have the capability to make square things that are actually square.....

Finally got up to the Reading mmodel zone today. Ok, I never got the job, but it'd be rude to ignore them, so I came out with 5 kits

Revell Victor at half price it was too tempting to resist, as were the Hunters 1 FGA9 & 1 F6. I also got a Sea Harrier 1. It looks a nice kit. I also got the DH98 Dragon Rapide, that is for my clubs 2010 threme.

Well I suppose I had better purchases from MZ up today :o
As mentioned before I finally broke and bought a Revell Hunter, oh and a SU-25......and another Mirage F-1........and a1/144th scale F-19.
The F-19 makes a good parasite Drone interceptor, scaled up to 1/72nd scale, and flush fit into a fuselage of something.

My feelings exactly! I also want, at some point, to hang a cockpitless 1/144th Starfighter under something as a missile-without-a-man-in-it....

Today from ebay, Heller 1/100th Alize. I'm thinking: scaleorama to a 1/72nd Aztazou-powered trainer as a French-built successor to their T-28 Fennecs.

Like all the Heller 1/100th "cadet" range, it's a bit basic: no cockpit interior, no provision for the prop to rotate, and solid, moulded-in intake and exhaust. Not pleased to discover that the radome is moulded as part of the fuselage, in the down position, nor that one of the lower wing panels is warped....
