Mr Surfacer 500 (never used this stuff before, but the demo was mighty impressive),

Duncan

I use both the 500 & the 1000 Dunc. Providing you use them properly they are excellent for those small gaps tha can be a bugger to fill. I've found that although you can use Surgical Spirit to remove the excess it's much better and quicker to use Gunze's own thinner/cleaner.

I've also used this thinner/cleaner to clean up Vallejo putty as well  ;D

My first post ... not my first what-if, though.  I have received a Revell-Germany 1/32 Spitfire F.22/24 and I am waiting for Freightdog Model's Seafire F.47 conversion kit.  My intent is to produce a Spitfire/Seafire racer painted in the manner of the Supermarine S.6a/b.  Should be a very elegant paint scheme.

Ooh, that sounds very elegant indeed - nice idea and welcome aboard, by the way!

From the LHS: Dapol 00/HO (1/76th) Scammell Scarab. For those who don't know, the Scarab was a little three-wheeled tractor unit which could turn on a sixpence and tow various trailers via a quick hitch/unhitch system. It was used extensively at British railway stations, hence Dapol's interest. The kit comes with a flatbed trailer and a brewery trailer with three barrels on it. No idea what I'm going to do with it yet - just too cute to ignore....

The RAF used them as well, hence the one that now resides in Hendon.
I always hope for the best.

experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Whoo-hoo, going for the weird stuff this week: a pair of 1:48 JF-17s (Pakistan) by Bronco Models arrived today with a Kinetic F-16 (1:48), while a trio of 1:48 AU-23 Peacemakers from Roden are enroute.  One of the Peacemakers will be a high-conspicuity SAR bird while the other will become a highly customized EW/Sensor a/c.

Can't wait!

I believe that is the old Airfix kit at one time, I remember building one for the train set layout we had.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

That does sound elegant. I've seen the conversion kit and it looks very nice, interested to hear how it builds

During a national rail strike circa 1958 ? I had a lift home from Great Ormond Street Hospital in one of those after a tonsils & ear op. Dad was on strike and as he didn't drive got a mate who drove a BR one , and was also on strike, to take me home  ;D
