Four 1/72nd kits (three and a bit really!) from ebay today.
Two sealed Revell He219's (1983 issue) so now I can cut up my old one to bash into a jet bomber.
Two Heller/Humbrol Bobkit Transall C-160P's, Air France boxing. Unfortunately some bugger seems to have opened one end of the package and nicked the fuselage and wing parts from one of them!  :banghead:  Going to see if I can claim anything back from Royal Mail and maybe try Heller for some spare parts. V-44 kitbash put on hold till I can sort this out.

Great minds think alike, that's just what I started to do with one of mine.  Got all the wings and engines for it too. Started cutting the crap out of it when I suddenly realized 'I shouldn't have done that'   :banghead: :banghead:

I got several C-130's too (Airfix, ESCI and Italeri) in case I screw up the C-160's! The cockpit of the Quad Tilt Rotor pics doing the rounds looks very C-160-ish though I think the Herc fuselage might be a lot easier to convert. Maybe graft a C-160 cockpit onto the C-130 fuselage?
Got two 1/48th Italeri V-22's for the engines and several in 72nd if the 48th ones look too big. Was thinking of making my first attempt at moulding engine copies so I don't wreck too many kit parts.

You'll find the 1/72 V-22 wings and engines work just fine, the 1/48 ones are too big.  I started cutting the fuselage before I got the V-22 parts and that's when I realized it shouldn't be shortened, in 1/72 you need at least 6" between the two engine centers when they are in the vertical lift mode.

Paul, let me know if you have trouble, I've got a Heller Transall, all I really need are the Tynes.  You're welcome to the fuselage & wings, although one of the wings is badly warped.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Shas sr. donated a 72nd Hobby Boss La-7, got a Hasegawa Kfir 2-pack as reparations for the F-14 that got damaged in the wreck, and I picked up another Academy OV-10D on extreme markdown from Hobby Lobby while on my way to the clinic this week!

Now if only I could actually be in a building mood!

Ah I wondered who's kit it was originally. Answers that question  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

JJC

went into my LMS yesterday, for ''paints'' ended up coming out with a Revell 1/48 F-84 'Thunderstreak' and a revell 1/48 CL-13(F-86F-40) both in Luft. camo and markings, although that thunderstreak looks migthy fine in Dutch silver and dayglo!!!!

Similarf story to JJC's. I went into Morningstar in Camberley after a fruitless trip to hobby craft in Reading for a bottle of decal fix. So why did I end up coming out with an Airfix boeing 314 Clipper seaplane as well??

Been huming and haring about getting one for a while so took the plunge today.  ;D
