Just need a good 1/48 Hurricane I now  ;D

There's nowt wrong with the Airfix one IMO, and it's about half the price of the (not-too-easy-to-find)  Hasegawa one

Thanks Ian

EDIT: Just noticed we're on page #100 already! :o Did we really buy more this year (recession over?) or are we just being more talkative this year.
Cheers,

I got the new Master Box Iraq figure sets, Iraq 1 which is four US troops and Iraq 2 which is three insurgents and a boy.
Also bought the Verlinden US Special Forces in Iraq/Afghanistan figure conversion set, which has enough parts and gear to make about three figures or modify 4.

Interesting. Probably more chat but I was thinking about looking at the number of purchases made by members over the last couple of years to see if I could put some substance onto a feeling I have, and expressed in my editorials in the SIG Newsletter, that hobby's in general have not suffered as much in the current recession as other activities ? People are staying in rather then go out sort of thing. In the UK in particular both Model Zone and Hobbycraft are in the middle of a major expansion programme which may have been put in place prior to the recession but then again could easily have been put on hold.

The other side of the coin is that as people have been marrying and having kids latter perhaps the hobby skipped 10 years or so as new dads delayed getting back into doing the things they did before  :drink: & came along and is now playing catchup ?

As I said I thought about it and then went...nah ! I used to do that for a living, not now. Plus I didn't fancy trawling through 300 odd pages of 3 years threads  :banghead:

Pyro 1/48 Fairey Flycatcher
Heller 1/48 Alouette
Esci 1/48 US-3A Viking, need the pods off it for a project.
A Tallboy conversion set for a 1/72 Lanc, Chris spotted it (Thanks) and only 4 quid.

1/48 Cutting Edge Skyray decals Pt3
1/48 AeroMaster Smokers, RAF & RN Phantoms
1/72 Model Alliance Jaguar Pt1, Special schemes for 16 & 54 Sqn
All three were half price.

Plus for a mate of mine a Ally Cat 1/24 Mosquito NF.XVII & XIX conversion set and a seat belt set for his 1/32 Hawker Fury kit.

Ps, Great to see the full size Mossie with all the panels off, I stopped as I walked past her and though, WOW, thats nice, makes you want to buy the Airfix kit.  ;D

That would be me - but mine was only £15, which is still a terrific bargain.  We be either RW, or the RN rescue scheme as profiled by Mav.

Also picked 20 quids worth of specialist paints & pigments for my burnt out Pz.IV project.
