QuoteThat would be me - but mine was only £15, which is still a terrific bargain.  We be either RW, or the RN rescue scheme as profiled by Mav.

Yeap its a great price for a great kit, i actually suggested ti Ian from Heritage that he have a word with the Museum at Elvington, as once the Nimrod settles into being an exhibit (The RAF are still stripping out or rendering U/S most of the operational systems so the aircraft interior can be opened to the public) then the demand for Airfix Nimrods will likely rise.

Go for the RN scheme Nev, will be nice to see it in model form after suggesting it in the Nimrod Colour Scheme thread which led to Mavs profile .

Pyro 1/48 Fairey Flycatcher

Now I have fond memories of this kit, nice looking aeroplane and a nice model, especially given how old it is, but I can't quite see it as one you would likely purchase ?? Was it in an especially large box ?? Or did you think it was a helicopter ??  ;D ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I can safely say I didn't have the largest box at the show.  ;D
I've just always like the look of the Flycatcher and at 7 quid it was a real bargin especially as it was in such nice condition.

Me too as all I got was an extremely restrained single pot of Xtracylix paint!  Managed to pass on that odd Anime racing-car-spaceship-thingmy too....
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I've fished about on the net, couldn't remember the name of it so it took me ages to find it.  Apparently it's an Aoshima 1/24 Asurada AKF-0 from an anime called Future GPX Cyber Formula.  Those Japanese like their catchy titles!

Got a Zvesda Blackjack in 1/144th, and a Dragon Bear in 1/200th, plus a PZL P-7A in 1/72nd and an ICM Yak-7UTI in 1/48th, along with 3 volumes of "Polish Wings" at Elvington.
Oh, and I scored 88 on the airgunners simulator as well.
The best bit was finding a meal that defeated my son though.
