From ebay, more cheapo JB goodness in 1/76th:

Saracen APC
Bedford MK aircraft refueller
2 x 105mm Light Guns

I didn't realise that the Light Gun kit comes with two barrels for each gun: one long Brit L118 and one short US M119! Excellent whiffy value!

1/700 Soviet Delta IV SSBN - resin from OKB Grigoriev.

Welcome change to have a standard Soviet boomer instead of the monsters such as Typhoon & Oscar classes.

This manufacturer is doing all the Soviet types from the Cold War era including, November, Alfa, & Charlie classes along with the more obscure prototypes such as Sierra & Papa.

The latest release is the French SSBN Redoubtable, and the the RN's Resolution & USN Trident are both due soon.

Will be getting more of these for use on the Cold War SIG as they are one of the major elements of the Cold War arms race and the confrontations between the main players

Went and picked up my counter invader from Overkiller tonight. It will be turbo propped, possibly with a pair of Herc engines if I can get them to fit ok, and a pair of Grumman Hawkeye props fitted. This may get a gun turret underneath, or a couple of heavy guns out of one side so as to put some heavy cover fire down during close support missions. That is until I build my AC-160 and upgrade AC-119

I would only consider that a sin if you also bought the vac form canopy for the kit along with the Ensign White Metal etched brass detail sets.

PR19_Kit

Just spent a week in Norfolk on holiday in our fave riverside cottage in Horning.

For some strange reason we found ourselves in Oulton Broad one day (as you do....) and while Mrs. PR19 was wandering around the fashion shops there, such as they are, I found this ginormous green hangar place that was stuffed with model kits. :o

I left with a Minicraft 1/144 DC8-63, an A Model 1/72 Virgin Global Voyager thingie and a Trumpeter 1/72 LCAC hovercraft (Why?) plus a few odds and ends. The LCAC is so huge I had a tough job finding space in the car to bring it home!

Mind you,even at 1/72 it's not as large as a 1/144 SRN4........ <_<
