Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Typical Czech limited run. Needs some clean up and I suspect that the wing trailing edges could do with beong sanded down but apart from that it's quite nice.

I did spot several bits on the sprues as being pirated from elsewhere - the wheels from the Academy Spitfire XIV, the standard radiator from the Revell Hurricane and the 3 blade prop from the Heller Hurricane.

Went for a roadtrip with my buddy Scooterman on Sunday. We toured a couple of the small local shops, Wild Bill's and MAL-Model Aircraft Labratory. The owner's father was a pioneer of the old balsa wood model kits, his first being a P-80 released in 1946. He showed us around, and brought out the original kit.....neat stuff.

Walked out of there with :

Matchbox RF-101 Voodoo
Airfix Super Jolly Green Giant

The highlight of the night was a delicious chicken dinner cooked by the lovely Mrs. Scooter, followed by my 'fix' of petting their cats, sampling some delicious beer, and I even walked out of there with an Airfix T.55 Lightning ! If this act keeps up, I'll have more of Brad's kits in my hotel closet than he does in his stash !

Got a delivery from Evil Mushroom Games this morning.

4 Small Lift Fans (for some thing that needs lift fans)
4 Medium Lift Fans (for something that needs lift fans too)
4 Large Lift Fans (for something that also needs lift fans  ;D )
And an Urban Mammoth Bio Toxin Plant (bought mainly for parts for several planned Sci Fi/Steampunky builds)
Also got an Airfix HS Hawk (original release boxing) from ebay. Amazingly I've never built the old Airfix kit because every time I go to model shops they never have any!

Added a Tamiya 1/100 Il-28 Beagle and a Revell/Matchbox 1/76 Sherman Firefly to the stash today.

The Beagle will have to suffer some cuts and face some re-enginin..re-enginee... will get new engines.
The Firefly was on sale. Good thing as I'll only be needing the turret. And some Airfix Saladins....

I was in Dubuque Iowa last week, and my mother-in-law took me to their local Hobby Lobby. We don't have Hobby Lobbys in California, because apparently we're unwashed heathens.
They were having a 30% off sale on models, and they had a few models on the clearance table. One was a Tamiya 1/35 B1 Bis French tank. The original price had been $60, it was marked down to $27 and with the 30% discount, it came out to around $18. I also bought a 1/700 Kilo submarine (builtup) from MRC - it was under $5 and an Academy 1/288 Space Shuttle stack, which I plan on using for parts.
