I had the same idea looking at my model.
The dimensions of the A-7S think they are similar to those of the Skyhawk.

Now try to make drawings to see if at the my A-7S could be applied to the delta wing of the Skyhawk.

Here in home I have another ESCI's A-7 , the idea might be to make another A-7 Shorty, but with the wing of the Skyhawk and without the horizontal tailplanes.
