Well, I am now quite ill with envy.  sighhhhh....     Ti, your work all goes into my "too good to be a model" archive.

Anyhow, my favorite feature was the rusted plates added in the field.  Subtle yet unmistakable.  How did you achieve that look?  I'd say it is perfectly realistic.

Another suggestion would be to use styrene and then use a combination of brown spray as the main color. Then use gray and black shade of pigments to tie wverything together. That is what I used on the M923 gun truck tractor:
