This one man outfit out of Japan comes up with quite a few interesting models made out of resin.

I had bought this one some time ago as I've always liked the look of it even though it wasn't very successful. It's a Sud-Ouest SO 8000 (see pic)

Ever since I get his newsletter and his latest is this, the text is all in code but I think you'll recognize the subject:

Special East in France is the only place I've found that sells the kits in Europe.

I also have the SO-8000 and his 1/48 De havilland Comet racer. They require some work but are basicly good kits. I ordered from him direct and that went fine. He now accepts Paypal.

Robert,

Looks like he converted a Frog FD2 to make the masters for the BAC221!

That's some skilled modelling, most impressed. Plus the list of stuff that Special East sell looks good,, even a Potez 75, Tophe should be interested in that one........  -_-
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Tried clicking on the Special East, but Firefox got all twitchy & sent me a warning, same happened when I tried Googling them.

BAC 221 looks nice.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Basically they are using a security certificate that doesn't match their URL's name.  Naughty but not overly.  I'd be careful about ordering from them as a consequence.  Adding an exception is no big deal and Firefox is merely warning you about the mismatch, quite sensibly really.

For those with cash for Xmas he's come up with a Blackburn B.20

If I read things correctly then 3D printing is involved somewhere along the line.

I've linked to Britmodeller as they have pics

Looks like DMC have lost their website and Special East have degraded too so getting these kits may be a liitle more tricky now !

You can get hold of him directly if need be.  Just do a look-up of Akotombo Works and go to his website.
