OK, here's my long delayed entries to the old CG/SAR GB.

First up is the E-13 AWACS plane.  It's built off a 1/72 Fokker F27 SAR bird, with an E-2's rotodome up top.

Next up is the 1/72 version of my E-2 based HU-30 flying boat.

Here's my HC-143, built before I knew the USCG already had an HC-143.  Originally, I was going to build this up as a replacement for the HU-25, and it was going to get an HU-XX number, but then reality settled in, and, well, you know how that goes.  It's missing the front wheels, because I have no idea where they got off to during the move.

This is my HC-145, a 1/144 RJ85 done up for the USCG.  I thought this would be the mid way between the HC-143 and the HC-130 aircraft.

And finally, for the fixed wing stuff, here's the HP-3H, a logical use of the aircraft.  It's missing its outer most blades due to... unfortunate happenings.  I've got them all, just haven't had a chance to repair it yet.

Here's the rotary winged monstrosities I've had on the bench for a while.

First up is the heavy helo dedicated to duties off of Alaska, the HH-53N Sea Horse, built off a 1/72 CH-53D kit:

Next is a 1/72 NH90 done up as an HH-91E Swimming Malamute (originally, I did an NH90 for the USN as a CH-91A Malamute)):

Time for WHIF nuts.  The Ka-60 always looked to me like a beefed up HH-65, so here's what one looks like AS the HH-65.  It's a 1/72 Amodel kit that was not fun to build:

Next are the tilt-rotors in use with the USCG.  First up is the HV-15C, built off the Anigrand 1/72 XV-15 kit.  I know the thing appeared in USCG colors in its career, but not the overall orange scheme the Dolphin uses.  Added some FLIR turrests to her.

Finally is the big tilt rotor, the HV-22D Osprey, built from one of those AMT/ESCI V-22 kits.

Finally are some assorted group shots I wanted to show.

First are the big-rescue craft:

USCG Tilt-rotos side by side:

And finally those damaged planes:

I had forgotten all about these, though I seem to remember seeing some of 'em in a pile in the background when you were building all those F-15s.  Nicely done!  Out of curiosity, what did you use to make the planing hull for the HU-30?

I think I used the central float from some Japanese WWII era floatplane.  I can't remember, it's been so long.  At one point, I was going to use the hull from some 1/144 or 1/200 Soviet torpedo boat, but I could never get it to look right.

The central float on my Conch Republic plane looks much better.  I used the float from a 1/48 Cessna to make that one.

I just remembered these aren't done yet, but I haven't printed out the decal sheet that has the base and ship names on them yet.  Some day...
