I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Documentary on the SR.177 with some excellent CGI of operational RAF/RN and Luftwaffe examples:

Missed these before, they'll be very handy if I ever get around to my kit.  Interesting that the missiles shown appear to be Sidewinders, not surprising since they were going for export orders I guess.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I can't believe that production SR177s would have retained that awful looking canopy. I can't imagine why S-R used it anyway, the one on the SR53 looked just fine and must have given far better visibility and have been cheaper and easier to produce as well.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

It was the higher supersonic speed kit, they were exploring effects on materials so went with the safe strong structure that could withstand the speed and the heating as they were all aspiring towards Mach3 at the time. Obvious a more practical canopy would be developed on operational aircraft, just look at the SR-187  annd its buck rodgers style rocket ship canopy  ;D
