Was reading about the formation of the AVG in MAM yesterday and they mentioned that Chennault was in the process of forming a second fighter group and a bomber group. Plans were abandoned after Pear Harbour.

Got me thinking. What type of bombers would they have used ? Baltimores, Marylands, maybe A-20's.

Any suggestions ? I may well give this one a go in plastic.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

According to Flying Tigers, Daniel Ford, Smithsonian Institution Press 1991,
the 2nd AVG Bomber Force was to be equipped with aircraft diverted from British orders,
thirty-three Douglas Bostons and the same number of Lockheed A-28 Hudsons.
The plan was for Lockheed to install additional fuel tanks allowing the Hudsons to be
delivered by flying across the Pacific.
Robert's profiles are excellent renderings of the Bostons and Hudsons.

Chennault also hoped to be able to put together a volunteer Blenheim unit.

Thanks Robert/Jon

I figured they would have come from ex British contracts. I may well pick up an Airfix Boston
