Both are great paintings with loads of atmosphere, but the second is freakin' awesome!

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Now that I've got the Nelson-on-skis out of the way, I can carry on with the Intergalactic Tirpitz ;D

A year or so ago I made a Spacecruiser Wisconsin using a USS Wisconsin in 1/700 and an F-4 fighter in 1/72.  I really wanted an F-15 in 1/72 but couldn't find any of those at my local hobby shop.  Now I am thinking of doing the same thing except with a Nimitz class in 1/700 and the F-15 in 1/72.  That way the Space Carrier can perform "Fleet Operations" with my Spacecruiser Wisconsin and Spacecruiser Yamato, also in 1/700 scale.

The Yamato, which was sunk by Americans during the war, was the pride of Japan's fleet and is still pretty much a national icon there. The idea of a flying Yamato originates in the manga (comic book) and 1974 anime (animated cartoon) UchuĂ» Senkan Yamato (Space Battleship Yamato) by Leiji Matsumoto, in which the old Yamato gets salvaged and refurbished in the 25th century into a spaceship with international crew, whose mission is to save the Earth by reaching planet Iskandar in search of a source of energy that can save our planet. The series was broadcast in many countries as Yamato, but in the US it was called Starblazers and suffered from a lot of editing, unfortunately.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Cunning.

The Tirpitz is delayed as I'm currently working on an intergactic PRINCE OF WALES,,,,an idea I approve of, but that might get me locked "in the Tower!!"

Meanwhile, I've been building sub-assemblies and will continue before leaving for Rocky Horror in Sheffield, tonight.

On with the main armament.....secondary armament too.
Anti-thingy boffors guns are redistributed....new sighting/rangefinders added to the main armament turrets, the twin-gun turret being relocated beneath the hull, along with some boffors.
Some bulges added and then it'll be time to add the exhausts...multiple use of straws!
I hope to spray it tomorrow!!
