(the RS thermoformed canopy frightens me a little, but I will see).
Now that's the point I am, alas. What a hell! (in French: "Pu-rée !") How to turn this into a canopy?! I don't even see where is the front and the rear... >:(

I just did my first vac-form canopy Tophe, so I know how you feel. The key is to go very slowly and in very small bites. Make you first cuts well away from the canopy frame and then work towards it. Stop when you are still a visible distance away from the frame, and then go to sanding. Sand a little, look, check-fit, sand a little, look, check-fit, etc, etc.... Do NOT lose patience and try to do too much in one bite! If you start to feel like that, put it down and walk away for a bit.

Thanks! The scale is 1/72 but I don't think you should discard those canopies: I mean, my project is to paint it black, I don't need at all a clear canopy. If I fail in handling the thermoformed support, I will replace this with putty, simply, with a further step into whiffism... ;D

Thanks also! I will try to follow these advices, as much as my poor skills allow it. If I fail, I will replace this with putty, almost simply. Thanks again! ;D
