Yep if ugly could fly this is what it would look like, I hope you are going to paint it yellow and put a ffyffes sticker on it.

Ugly? Yes! and french too!

The original engine had to be a 95 hp Salmson 7Ac. But I will replace it by a 175 hp Salmson 9Nd.

I will paint it will classical french colors at the Campaign of france time: light blue-grey on lower surfaces, middle blue-grey, khaki and dark brown (Terre de Sienne) on upper surfaces.

For the guilty ones having pronounced the lethal word "ugly": hey, haven't you seen the Red Cross on it? deserving holy respect While you are very right in smiling: "Sauvage" means "wild", and this "ambulance wild animal" seems more funny than blessed... Anyway, a French common sentence requires guns to keep silent: "don't shoot an ambulance" gorgeous or 'special', as well...

That thing is so damm ugly it hurts my eyes just to look at it.

There are two levels of ugly here - the Payen design, which goes past ugly and goes back to beautiful - and the Unicraft casting...which is just plain ugly and bad. No excuses possible for that level of "work". But CAO has always made great models out of Unicrap kits, so I'm expecting this one to look great.
