About the camo: are you sure this is apropriate? I thought an ambulance plane was protected by its (her?) huge red crosses (and the Geneva war rules?), so could be bright orange all, no need to hide like a killer, yes?

I wasn't disagreeing, as I prefer dreams than Reality, but I know you focus on projects as they could have been for real (that was the meaning of my question).

most military air-ambulances have bright colours, but they were camouflaged in Vietnam it seems. All is possible in the field, and even more is possible in a what-if smiling spirit...

You are right: box-arts provide good suggestions also, even for a what-if airplane.
But... this SP.190 seems Spanish not French? the cross on the rudder directs this way, see http://www.risingdecals.com/Bf-109/72-015_spanish.htm
so CAO 700 could perfectly choose another way.
What about the true 1940 French air ambulances' colours? Google finds none, maybe I will ask French experts on the forum Aerostories. I keep you informed.

Yes, it seems spanish. For a french plane i´d keep the scheme of this SP.190, changing the colours. I´d choose two green; mottled darker above a lighter.

I translate here the most important points:
"According to regulations, air-ambulances should have been painted all white with large red crosses. We know photographs of Bloch 81, an airplane designed from the start as air-ambulance, all white with red crosses. However, we found mostly camouflaged aircraft with traditional roundels AND the red cross, because many ones were civilian requisitionned airplanes. As the others, they were first painted militarly before a destination was chosen to either utility or school or medical."
So... OK, both of you (and me as well): everyone's "right" somehow (in the JMN meaning of this word, whiffism allowing us to dream even further)

Nice paintwork...though its going to take a lot more than that to make this monstrosity attractive!
