Is currently warships, almost all, but not exclusively, battleships.

Some are from the Ice Planet "Aegir" scenarion....
Two have been built, a Hun "Bismarck" and an Angleland "Nelson".
Others to be built include a George Vth type as well as others.....too many to mention....

Then there's the "flying battleships" scenario...as per reality, but now "flying" with jet propulsion, canards, piping, bulges, etc...

Then there's the Spaceship category.....intergalactic...including a Bismarck/Tirpitz, a Missouri, etc......

Finally there's "whatiffery"......boats on water!! Including....

USS Arizona....RN battleships...."The Black Prince", "Richard III", "Eduard I" etc...
IJN Kongo Class...RN battleships.."King Arthur" class....several builds.

Should be fun...but I have other plans too....aircraft, Daleks, Cybermen, armour....could be a busy year!!

Good to see the juices flowing Tel, just be careful they don't go all over the carpet though or Mid will kill you  ;D

Looking forward to actually "SEEING" pictures of some of these.

Pictures of the ski-equipped Bismarck and Nelson are in the "Let It Snow" group build thread, albeit unpainted. They'll be on their bases by Thursday when they go to the club meeting...

Been "held back" on the "flying battleship-airship" builds by a lack of decent display stuff, including supporting the model and transporting the model/storing them....but I think I may have that all sussed now.
I had the same problem with the intergalactic battleships, but OK now I hope.

Onwards and "upwards" ;D

If I may ask, what are you using?  I'm banging out a steampunk flying battleship, and I'm thinking an acrylic rod into the old mounting hole for the original stand, but I'm definitely looking for any ideas.

Trumpeter just released HMS Renown, if you want to try a battlecruiser with your BBs.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Hang on a mo, wasn't 2010 meant to be the year of Project 52?

How about a space aircraft-carrier, with flight decks on top and bottom, made from two aircraft carrier kits?

A flying Aircraft carrier using twin submarine "aerodynamic" hulls is a possibility.

Meanwhile a friend at model club suggested one of my Japanese battleship Kongo kits could become a spaceship...yes, so far so good!!
Then I'd paint it red, yellow and black....a Belgian Kongo ;D ;D
Like it!!
As for mounting the flyers, clear acrylic rod certainly, but with a socket in the bottom of the spaceship possibly to ease transportation to shows. Or...very big boxes...also an option.

At the moment, off to Rocky Horror soon...Cardiff tonight...and not back until tomorrow, so photos afterwards.
And my KGV model looks increasingly a flying battleship, or a space battleship. The latter most likely as I have a pretty scheme in mind.
