Hey Guys, Tell me what You think of This:use a CH-47 or Eurocopter Merlin as the Basis for a Gerry Anderson style 'Helijet'!!!!! just now i got inspired thinking about 'Thunderbirds' and thought i'd post my Idea!!!! what say You??? thanks for looking. Dan

Can do that with just about any helo. The Chinook would probably suit a tandem-wing design better, while single-rotor designs would suite a main wing and tail. On a single-rotor with a pod-and-boom layout, it might be interesting to double up the booms and have a third tilting engine between them (didn't Space Above and Beyond use something like that?)
