Apparently, the German army is selling off some of their Faun tank transporters. About a dozen have surfaced at a truck dealer in the Netherlands, and a heavy haulage firm has bought one:

Van Vliet? thats the same company that bought 8 Ex-Belgian Army A109BA's last month.
are they thinking of starting there own military service à la Blackwater USA  ;D

That's interesting, but I wonder why they would want a heavy hauler like that.  That 20' Sea-Can only has a gross weight of about 27 tons, I know because I have one in my yard which I bought to store all my house stuff when I moved a couple of years ago.

It's a specialised JMN Transporter Module, and as we know so well they are VERY thick........  -_-
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I've been doing some more digging; this company does some off-road work now and then; they have some heavy farm tractors and trailers as well. An SLT (8-wheel drive and ungodly amounts of power) would come in very handy for that.
