In truth I'm still experimenting how to use properly the airbrush: the major part of the times I do use the airbrush like a hammer!!!!

I am sure this version will be the best. I like the Phantom but this version is superior.

Painting completed.
Few hours ago sprayed to the Phantom the third and last layer of colour.

This is all, no more layers will be added, now will paint the details.

Well that worked out perfectly

I was interested to obtain a more weathered look, but do not found the right level...

I agree with Sotoolslinger, I think it looks great. Are you unhappy with it G. Marcat?

Yes I would have obtained a more dirty / weathered look.
But now it's too late.

You can always do a heavy wash or apply pastels or do post shading right?

I'm tempted  to try the experiment of to spray a little of heavy diluted light gray on the center of certain panels to add  a little of contrast.

I did this work on the SCI FI PHANTOM; on this model the center of every leaf of camo was sprayed of heavy diluted white at the purpose of to make the leafs weathered.
see here:

But I must to try this effect on the Single Emgine Phantom to see if the weathering will be efficient or not.

Taiidantomcat

It should work, it worked great on the picture above

I think a good rule of thumb is the higher the contrast between colors the more weathered it looks. Using Gray as an example, if you go from an ultra light gray in the center to a very dark gray at the edges, it will look heavily weathered. if you went from a slightly lighter gray to a light gray it will be more subtle and look newer.

I think you will be able to weather it no problem. The thin white or light grey between the panel lines is a good choice. I really like using pastels for weathering, but they work best on a matte finish. The body shaping looks like it came out very nicely.

This is the most original idea from the bottom of Coco Chanel bag introduced on aplane.
Is a charming camo...I like

Done the last detail of weathering:
On certain panels of the fuselage side and on top sprayed a very thin layer of Humbrol 126 heavy diluited and on which have been added a tiny drop of white.
At the same time sprayed some panel edges with Tamiya Smoke: done this on the areas where the preshading was not so evident or lost.
