Damn shame that.  I liked that camo

The camo have turned out completely out of control.
There were so much layers of paint on the model at the point the surface lines and details have been completely submerged.

Good luck in your paint removal... how are you going to paint next time around?

.. now I am even more interested to see this develope further.

Excellent chop job though

The paint removal is completed.
This job has required around four hours.
The Gunze Piant Remover dissolves the Acrylics but when he meet the Humbrols more force is required to dissolve them.

Taking the opportunity I'm looking to apply at rear fuselage of the Single Phantom two bulges to add it a Coke Bottle shape as in the original Phantom.

The next scheme for the Phantom?
I do not know at the moment: I'm tempted to paint it simply as was the last F-4C/D from Usaf in the last times of the their service: the two tone gray called Hill Scheme.
Or something similar.
This time not more too much elaborated schemes.

Gondor

How about a nice colourful test scheme ?

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

I know how tiring exotic schemes can get! Sometimes it is good to just do something simple

the article is phantastic...
but my first impression of the "old" camo was...inspired by an IKEA towel or carpet
sorry but its one of the most dizzying camos ever seen...

I'm working to complete the cleaning process on the Phantom.
The paint removal has left a lot of dirty around the surfaces.

Keep working it until you get it the way you want it to look.  I have complete faith and confidence in you (even though I agree with STS that your striped camo was hot-hot-hot and you can expect me to "borrow" that idea soon, as well!     )

One month after the last time I put my hands on Phantom Single I began to do something.

The rear of the fuselage has been criticized by many because he was seen as too "linear".

Said and done! Here's the change.

4 pieces of plasticard, a blob of super glue and if I'm lucky I'll get a coke bottle fuselage like that of the original Phantom.

This project is interesting in every line or direction it took and will take, I'am affraid ;D .
I love it

A tip: take your pills as recommended by your psich... doctor.
Will die without understanding this world.

I spent about 4 hours to sand the two blobs of plasticard and superglue but I eventually won.

The Phantom Mono Engine now has a tail shaped like a Coke bottle as the real Phantom.

Now some more details then I start to paint.

What a great job on the reshaping! I know that was not easy  :banghead:

I realized that my mistake has started from the moment I begin the change from twin  engine to single engine.

I should leave a small portion of the original Phantom's side so as to have a fuselage a little wider but with its original form.
