Pics... OK.

Second chance for the Single/Single Phantom: the new attempt to complete the model begins with a layer of primer.

I'm loosing the patience with this whatif.     :banghead: :banghead:      To complete it is becoming a nightmare: every time i take it in hand I see defects, imperfections, problems.

I looked closely at the wings and I noticed they were engraved so bad that I got the superglue and I covered all the engravings.

After this today I sprayed another coat of primer .....

Every time I touch that model I find problems every time and every time I try to do something on it I can not do it well. :banghead:

I almost decided not to scribe the model and painting it on the fly.

Set it down for a little bit and come back to it in a week. You might just need a "recharge"  You have already come so far, very near the end now.

This afternoon done little details.

Tomorrow will add a pair of lines, but strictly where necessary. Not more engraving experiments.

If do not happen other, Sunday or Monday will try to paint the kit.

Today I have completed the job of to scribe some panel lines on the Phantom SingleEngine/SingleSeat (Phantom SE ??)
For the first time the scribing process has a linear effect, not destructive  as was  the my usual standard.
The panel lines made from me are in a very WhatIf scheme. However, I have used some enlarged scale plans as base to understand what to do and where to do the lines.

To scribe the lines shaped as half ring on the upper wings used a scale template made with thick transparent plastic: this time I was successful into scribe these hal round panels. The last time I tried to do those hal round scribings I got two demential shapes.

Now I should be ready to try for the second time at to paint the my Phantom SE.

The more risky part of the conversion job has begin today.

In the modeling forums I  saw big paint works done using the pre shading as base, unfortunately I was never able to master this tecnique.
Guess what I have done to put at risk the successful of the painting?
Obviously I started the second attempt to paint the Phanton SE using the .... PRESHADING.

1st day of painting.
Sprayed a first layer of Humbrol 126 (FS-36270) with a very high diluition ratio of 70/30

Tomorrow another little thin layer.. one layer  day after day.

sotoolslinger

Perfect  Keep it up. Go even more dilute as you build up layers
