Special mountain warfare regiment Humvee (Royal Orkades Army)

Hay all this was ear marked for another projet but it has ended up as this.





All the part are form my spares box or scartch built more on the back story later.

Well as promised here is the back story..

The special mountain warfare regiment was formed to operate in the most harsh environments there is. Their primary role is to provide reconnaissance and area denial. They are formed from the best troops of the Hjaltland regiment witch are the orkades army's own mountain warfare specialists.

A small number of Humvees were delivered to the orkades army for trials, and some found there way to the Hjaltland regiment but they were delivered to the wrong part of their base! The special mountain warfare regiment also share the same base and the Humvees ended up out side their main hanger, now special forces being special forces thought 'OH LOOK NEW TOYS' and they disappeared. it was not until some time later when it came to give the Humvees back that anyone noticed they had gone missing!! after much head scratching, and wondering where the hell they had gone they turned up just before the unit deployed to Afghanistan. striped down and turned in to a dumvee type vehicle To say the head sheds of the army were livid was an under statement thankfully some funding was found to pay for the Humvee and the matter was settled..

This is fantastic....love all the stowage and the rear gun, the gunner's seat, etc.

If you're going to the 'stan in this buggy, you'll want to leave the front grill uncovered or you'll overheat (trust me).

Yeah that looks good - I like field-modified vehicles! Nice one!

I like it! I think the rear gunner needs a cup holder for his seat, though. Just a place to keep a beer or something.
