That Citroen looks like something from an Episode of Thunderbirds. Anyone know if there's a Model Available of it? Dan

There's a diecast version in 1:43 - that's how I became aware of it. I thought it was a whif, but sometimes reality is stranger than fiction.

It was a test car for Michelin, called "Mille pattes" (= centipede).  ;D

Hobbes

Yup. There's room for another tire in the middle (in the area behind the open door) with test equipment on it. The thing has two big Chevrolet V8 engines in the back, and was meant for testing truck tires at high speed (up to 180 km/h), without running the risk of losing the vehicle if a blowout occurred.

That's not the only multiwheeled Citroën though:

French company Tissier built various car transporters based on the DS, there were also ambulances and vans based on the CX with 6 wheels.

Looks like somebody wanted to be Captain Scarlet but couldn't afford an SPV.
What if... I had a brain?

Why would you even bother?

This beastie, on the other hand, (also not a whif) ...

... is kinda cool!

Edit: OK, looks like I'm the only one not enamored of Citroens, no matter how whiffy they get. :-\

Very nice, I wonder if I could get one on motability when they come out....

Great minds think alike.  I was pondering the similarity to the SPV.

A VF-11B Thunderbolt (from the Macross 'verse) either moving into position or moving away from an unidentified KC variant (135, 10, 767, 46)

AFAIK the tanker is a 135, the booms on the later aircraft are more techie looking.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Fascinating.
When I was a kid the job I most wanted to do when I grew up was making models for film & TV.
