Where's my beer ?

This used to be at a petrol station in Elgin, logically not far from Lossiemouth, not sure if it's still there.

What is it with aeroplanes and petrol stations???

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Are second-hand Buccaneers so cheap that a gas station owner can afford one as advertising?  :o
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

Even with a Shark Mouth (sort of) on the slipper tank!

Locally in Wuppertal, there's a gasoline station that carries a neat Mi-2 on its roof, and an An-2 on the parking lot, painted in the brand's colors. Special effects, too: with a great light show at night and the Mi-2's rotor even rotates in the light.

It's actually called the 'Buccaneer Service Station'  ;D  and back then it sold Jet petrol, but a few years later it had switched to Esso.

The aircraft was an ex-208 Sqdn. aircraft, XS530, and served in the Gulf War (and was controlled by the 'RAF's Best Air Traffic Controller', who you may already know about.... ;)) Amazingly they TOWED '530 down the road from Lossiemouth to Elgin when she was sold, with the wings folded naturally. As well as her 'Sky Pirates' flag on the starboard side she also carries a 'Glenmorangie' affiliation, which is distilled just across the Moray Firth  from Lossie at Tain.

Where in Lossie is it please? Was there for three years and only saw the inside of the Skerrybray, Lavrockbank(think that's the spelling and  the one  by the harbour. Oh and best of all Dougies, that sold the best spare ribs in the world! Great people, great rugby, wonderful whisky

PR19_Kit

It's not in Lossie, it's on the northern outskirts of Elgin, on the A941 en route to Lossie.

The petrol station is almost the last place on the right heading out of Elgin, but Google Earth now shows it as a 'Fox Petrol' Station.

That was my thought too! I think it was the white looking railroad ties.

They're newish concrete ones, but they won't stay that white for long.  ;D
